Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold price and launch details for the global market have leaked. According to a new report, the Xiaomi foldable smartphone unveiled in March in China will launch in Europe for under 2,000 euros.
Xiaomi MI claims that the company will host the Mi Mix Fold launch in Europe in May. While the exact launch date is unknown, it argues that the Mi Mix Fold will be unveiled internationally by May-end. The Xiaomi updates tracker account has also leaked the Mi Mix Fold’s price in Europe. Xiaomi is said to launch a 16GB + 512GB variant of the Mi Mix Fold in Europe for EUR 1,999, roughly Rs 1,78.400.
Xiaomi launched the Mi Mix Fold in three different storage configurations in China. The base variant with 12GB + 256GB storage is priced at CNY 9,999 (Roughly Rs 1,11,700), while the 12GB/512GB variant will set you back CNY 10,999 (Roughly Rs 1,22,850). Lastly, the top-end 16GB/512GB model costs CNY 12,999 (Roughly Rs 1,45,200).
Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold specifications
The Mi Mix Fold have a foldable display on the inside. It is an 8.01-inch OLED panel with a 4:3 aspect ratio with a WQHD+ resolution. The OLED panel supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+. The display has a peak brightness of 900 nits. The extensive collection has many productivity tools such as split-screen, multi-screen drag and drop, parallel windows, Desktop mode, AI meeting assistant and many more.
On the outside is a 6.52-inch AMOLED screen with an 840*2,520-pixel resolution. The external display features a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. The Mi Mix Fold adopts a U-shaped hinge design that is 27 percent lighter than the hinges used in other foldable. Xiaomi also says that the device has undergone 200,000 bends during its reliability test and up to 1 million bends in extreme reliability testing.
Other specs include a Snapdragon 888 SoC, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The foldable smartphone packs a 5,020 mAh battery that is split into two 2,460 mAh cells. It supports 67W wired charging support but no wireless charging.
For optics, the Mi Mix Fold features Xiaomi’s custom Surge C1 chip. The primary camera on the Mi Mix Fold has a 108 MP sensor with a 7P lens, while the ultrawide 13 MP shooter has a 123-degree field of view.
Additionally, the phone also uses the world’s first Liquid Lens technology in the 8MP telephoto camera. It is made from a flexible film filled with transparent liquid. It uses a precision monitor to change shape like the lends in the human eye. This new technology allows the lens to adjust its optical magnification ratio from 3x to 30x zoom (80 mm equivalent focal length at the wide end).
