While the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro electronic camera bumps vary from 1.5 mm to 1.7 mm in thickness, the iPhone 13 is rumoured to have a 2.51 mm camera bump.

According to a brand-new leak, the iPhone 13 will be slightly higher than the iPhone 12 in terms of dimensions and will come with a somewhat bigger cam bump with lenses that extend less. The brand-new leak, published in MacRumors, states that the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro designs are expected to include a density of 7.57 mm, up from 7.4 mm of the iPhone 12 models.

While the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro electronic camera bumps vary from 1.5 mm to 1.7 mm in thickness, the iPhone 13 is rumoured to have a 2.51 mm electronic camera bump. Rather than individual lenses extending as we saw on iPhone 12 models, the video camera bump itself on the iPhone 13 series will protrude more.

Apple is also changing the general size of the camera bump, a shift that will be most noteworthy on the iPhone 13 Pro, the MacRumours report says. The iPhone 12 and 12 Pro have video camera bumps that measure around 28mm by 30mm. In contrast, the iPhone 13’s electronic camera bump will be closer to square at around 29mm by 29mm, with the bump situated about a millimetre closer to the top of the iPhone.

The iPhone 13 Pro, on the different hand, will include a bigger electronic camera bump, determining around 36mm by 37mm. This implies that the cam bump, at least in terms of size, will be closer to the iPhone 13 Pro Max than the iPhone 13. The iPhone 12 Pro’s video camera bump is smaller than that of the iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Previous rumours have recommended other camera improvements on the upcoming iPhone series. This year, Apple is reported to put sensor-shift stabilisation on a minimum of the iPhone 13 Pro, if not throughout the entire iPhone 13 range. Last year, just the iPhone 12 Pro Max got the sensor-shit stabilisation function.
